The marina is entirely man-made and upon completion, it is claimed to be the world’s largest man-made marina. It’s worth seeing marina towers with water canals and many spectacular bars and restaurants such as Pier 7, Zero Gravity Dubai and many more.

The Waterfront Market

In 2017 a new modern food market was constructed, and sellers relocated from old Deira Fish Market to Waterfront Market. In addition to fresh meat, fish, vegetables and fruits, the market offers restaurants, bars and a large supermarket. We visited the old Deira fish market before it was closed.

If you like shopping, Dubai is a place for you, because of its numerous extravagant malls. The two most famous are The Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates. The Dubai Mall is the largest mall in the world by total area and is home to about 1000 retailers. It also features Dubai Aquarium, under water zoo, cinema, etc. Mall of the Emirates features many leisure activities such as an entire indoor ski slopes area also known as Ski Dubai, Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre, and many more.

Beach

There are many free public beach places in Dubai, for example, JBR Beach, Jumeirah Open Beach and Kitesufring Beach. Additionally, there are many private beaches and pools. They are usually located within the hotel area or water parks.

The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest choreographed fountain system. It is located on a manmade Burj Khalifa Lake. Illuminated by over 6000 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 75 m (246 ft) long and shoots water up to 152 m (500 ft). It is accompanied by a range of classical, contemporary Arabic and world music. The fountain is animated with performances set to light and music.

Burj al Arab

Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island. The shape of the structure is designed to mimic the sail of a ship. Although officially a five-star hotel, it is frequently described as “the World’s only seven-star hotel“.

Gold Souk

Gold Souk is a traditional market or souk in Dubai. The market consists of over 380 retailers, most of whom are jewellery traders. Approximately 10 tons of gold is present at any given time in the souk. Just walking through the market is work you time. Al Fahidi

Al Fahidi is a Dubai historical neighborhood built using traditional building materials. The quarter was built in the early 1900s by merchants from the Persian town of Bastak who came to Dubai to take advantage of tax breaks granted by the sheikh. The buildings are currently used for art exhibits, museums and cultural and artistic societies.
